SYNOPSIS: Mosaic artist and lonely bohemian mess, Lois, suffers a creative block upon the loss of her beloved dog, Mini. Encouraged by her ex-husband to "find a friend", Lois seeks out fellow type 1 diabetics for portraiture. Enter Cate who's positive outlook and controlled management of diabetes contrasts with Lois' "thriving-in-chaos" approach. Cate decides against portraiture but offers friendship. Lois views this as rejection when it's really a catalyst to her own impending growth. In the end, Lois' deepened isolation forces a serious choice.
